The Aachen Network for Humanitarian Aid and Intercultural Peace Work e.V. was founded in 1993. At the time of the Yugoslavian civil war, they brought aid transports to civilian populations in need. Future projects, such as the children’s circus Pinocchio, were aimed at bringing people of different origins closer together. The Aachen Network is a non-profit association for the active and solidarity-based fight against suffering and misery – through humanitarian aid projects, as well as long-term projects for peace and international understanding.
