Project Description
Project Armonia was established in April 2019 and is registered in Switzerland as well as in Greece. The organization’s goal is to provide refugees and asylum seekers with vital food, which is part of our all basic needs, but often denied to refugees, due to the humanitarian crisis.
Project Armonia is currently located on the Greek island of Samos, where they run a free restaurant, providing additional food for refugees. It is mainly run by refugees for refugees.
The restaurant provides them with a safe, comfortable space to eat in order to escape the inhumane conditions under which they are forced to live.
Project Armonia is the only NGO on Samos, running an official restaurant for refugees, despite challenges and prejudices from locals as well as local authorities.
Since their opening in 2019, they have already served over 126,000 meals and cook successfully for around 1,000 people every day.
