Project Description

Healthbridge Medical has spent the last year filling care gaps on the ground – whether it’s providing medical care during emergency calls, offering medical translation services at multiple locations, or managing complex medical cases – we’ve tried to find all the ways we can to complement the work of other NGOs also providing medical care. With over two dozen refugees working in our team, it gives us a unique perspective on the needs of people on the run. Instead of telling refugees what they need to do in order to feel better, we do our best to connect them to exactly those resources that make things better. This may include connecting them to existing resources or meeting medical needs that are otherwise unavailable, such as MRIs, CT scans, as well as complex blood tests. As the situation changes and new barriers arise, we want to continue to try to make this part of the journey as humane and dignified as possible.

This project is supported by the Foundation Fund Civilian Sea Rescue.
