Yoga and Sports For Refugees aims to empower refugees through sport. Their goal is to integrate them into the community as well as to improve their physical and mental health. The sport activities, which ranges from swimming courses to martial arts and yoga, is largely carried out and guided by those seeking protection on their own responsibility.
The sport activities further breaks down ethnic and religious barriers and create a meeting point and collaboration between cultures in which everyone participates.
After the fire in Moria, Yoga & Sports for Refugees mainly provided their trainers with the essentials and provided them with a place to sleep. Currently, the group is building an outdoor area in order to continue working in times of Covid19.
